can i just… tell you guys how fucking much i love Winry in conqueror of shamballa? i mean, seriously, not only is she so fucking gorgeous in this movie, all grown up and everything (and damn that outfit is hot on her), but she’s so strong and independent too. setting aside the fact that she manages to build a set of automail for Edward that fits him perfectly, despite not having seen him for two years, she’s also got her own business going and has been living her life so… well after the end of the first anime. she is just so on top of things. and then, when she finally meets up with Edward again, she doesn’t even hold back. just throws herself on him in a hug which is the cutest fucking thing ever.

but what i love about her most of all is how incredibly strong she is. just look at her face as she sees Edward leaving. leaving her world forever. and she doesn’t even shed a single tear. not. even. one. because, even though i think she’s pretty broken up about never seeing him again, she knows that there are more important things than her love for Ed. she also wants him to be with Al too. she accepts all of that willingly. and then goes on with her life, continuing her work in automail and not letting the loss of Edward drag her down or ruin her. because she really doesn’t need Edward to make her happy or complete.

and i think such strong independence is really what makes her so beautiful.
